Arianna Huffington

Ms. Huffington is a nationally syndicated columnist and author of nine books. Originally from Greece, she moved to England when she was sixteen and graduated from Cambridge University with an M.A. in Economics.

Ms. Huffington writes on various topics including the changing roles of women, political leadership and highly respected biographies of famous artisans, Maria Callas and Pablo Picasso, both becoming international bestsellers. Her biography of Pablo Picasso was made into an Ivory-Merchant film starring Sir Anthony Hopkins in the title role. Her latest book “Pigs at the Trough: How Corporate Greed and Political Corruption are Undermining America,” is published by Crown and will be available for sale and signing at the reception.

Ms. Huffington has made guest appearances on numerous shows including Politically Incorrect, Larry King Live, Oprah, Nightline, Charlie Rose and Good Morning America. She serves on several boards that promote community solutions to social problems, including the Points of Light Foundation and A Place Called Home that works with at-risk children in South Central Los Angeles. She serves on the Board of Trustees for the Archer School for Girls, the advisory board of the Council on American Politics at George Washington University and the board of the Reform Institute that works on campaign and election reform issues.

Ms. Huffington currently resides in Los Angeles with her two daughters.
