LAJCC projects and programs offer members and volunteers rewarding experiences in leadership, communication, project management, socialization and interaction with the youth of our community. Additionally, the variety of projects and programs allows members and volunteers to tailor their level of involvement, whether working with one specific program on a monthly basis or enjoying all major events during the year.

To learn more about each program, click on the link to the left. Sign up information is provided on each page.

Members and volunteers have the opportunity to participate in projects and programs in several capacities. (Click here for specific member information regarding leadership policies.)

Leadership: Serve as Chair of a project or event. Requires greater time commitment to attend all event meetings and membership receptions, oversee volunteer recruitment and work one-on-one with the LAJCC staff to ensure the success of the event.

Committee: Serve on the planning committee of an event. Requires greater time commitment to attend all committee meetings and other necessary functions. Specific roles on the committee could include developing and overseeing youth games, selecting giveaway items, recruiting and coordinating volunteers, fundraising, and facilitating presentations or awards.

Volunteer: Serve on the day of the event in a specific area. This can range from volunteer registration, leading games at a picnic, or reading aloud to children. A day-of-event volunteer shift ranges from 2 to 8 hours depending on the project.
